November 2007

I was mucking about on the online Apple Store, and I can’t understand the pricing of memory on there.

A 24″ iMac with a few other bits and bobs added on, and with 2Gb of memory is £1,471.99 yet with 4Gb on board it jumps to £1,921.68 - an increase of a penny off £500.00 which seems incredibly steep.

My current PC has 2Gb of memory so any new computer would have to have more than that as it struggles when asked to do anything remotely complex - mainly since Vista was installed it has to be said.

It’s been just over 6 months since I posted my first tentative post on this blog, and the time has flown by!

Things have come along a lot since then - the site looks nothing like it did then as I started off with a totally different theme before ending up with this current Connections one. And even this theme has been pretty heavily modified since I downloaded it, with things changing on a pretty constant basis.

I’ve not always had the time to posts as much as I would have liked to, and hopefully that will change in the coming weeks and months.

So Fernando Alonso has finally left McLaren once and for all.

Even after all that’s happened this year I’m relatively surprised to be honest, as his best chance of being in a car capable of winning races and the title in 2008 was surely with the Woking team.  Ferrari’s announcement that Massa has been handed a new contract until 2010 has surely scuppered any chance of Alonso joining Raikkonen in Italy next year - that’s assuming Alonso would even have been happy being in the same team as the current World Champion.
