Amazon - 30 day price difference refund policy
Posted by Craig under Money with the tags Amazon • Money • Money Saving Expert • refundAnother tip pointed out by MoneySavingExpert.com…
Amazon operate a rather strange refund policy - if you buy something and then find that they have reduced the price within 30 days then you are entitled to contact them and ask for a refund of the difference so you basically pay the new lower price.
This is obviously a good time of year to be finding this out as a lot of people would make purchases in December prior to Christmas only to now see the goods in the inevitable January Sale.
There are exceptions though - only products actually sold by Amazon themselves are applicable, not anything sold by a third party through their Marketplace or anything bought from any other third party.
It’s still a little known (I think!) item which doesn’t even appear to feature on their terms and conditions.
There’s nothing worse than paying out hard earned cash on something only to find it reduced the very next day so it’s something to bear in mind for the future!
