Why are criminals never as forthcoming as those on TV?

When I was a kid watching Scooby Doo and the likes there would be some terrible man doing despicable things, then Scooby and the gang would catch him red handed following which he would come over all guilty and confess everything.

Same with programmes like Poirot and Miss Marple - they would deduce who had done the deed before the bad guy spilled the beans at the first opportunity, even explaining away the things the detective couldn’t understand.

This story is all over the papers and news at the moment, and to be honest I feel a little bit sorry for him.

I’m not a fan of drugs at all, and I’m not a fan of people who cheat so it should follow that I’m not a fan of Dwain Chambers either - but it’s not as simple as that.

This story shouldn’t really be about Chambers, he’s just unlucky enough to have become the face of the problem.  And it’s a problem which shouldn’t really have arisen.

…is the weather.

No, I’ve not gone crazy - I really think it’s the truth!  At least in the south where I live anyway, up north it can get a bit hairy at times.

The perception is that it rains here 24/7, which simply isn’t the case - we probably do have quite a high percentage of days where it is raining, but by no means is it every day!

Everybody is different, but personally I would hate it if I got up every day  knowing it was going to be roasting hot and sunny.  Scotland may have rubbish weather sometimes, but it only serves to make you appreciate the nice sunny days all the more.

I would imagine the idea for this came about following on the apparent success of the NFL American Football game which was held this year at the new Wembley Stadium in London and seems certain to come back year after year.

American football isn’t very popular here, or in the rest of Europe, despite the introduction of a European competition a few years ago so I could see the point in bringing the game to create interest but is football in the same position?

This man never fails to amaze and surprise!

Normally he explains whatever it is he has done at the end of his shows, but it stills takes a little bit of understanding though with this it was like a switch was flicked as everything clicked into place.

The basic premise was that we followed the life of Kadesha, a woman who had been given tips by Derren (although she didn’t know who they were from at the time) on which horse would win a succession of races.
