…get used to xenon headlights?
I’ve had them on two cars now and during that time I’ve lost count of how many people have flashed their lights at me thinking I’ve had my lights on main beam when they’ve actually been dipped!
There must be thousands of cars out there which have xenons fitted now, so why aren’t people used to seeing them about? I know they annoy some people but to be honest I’ve never met a car with them and felt my sight was impaired by the xenons being too bright - the other good thing with them is that they are self-levelling so you don’t have that annoying thing where some people have their halogen lights pointing up too high and dazzle you.

With power comes responsubility, which is not always a welcome thing.
The easiest job in the world is to be the person who has no power or responsibility, but takes pot shots at every decision made by the person who has.
With the gorvernment, this happens all the time. Labour will come out with some new proposal or other and the Conservatives, Lib Dems and all the rest will say the exact opposite - which is fair enough as that’s their job, even though it’s a pretty pointless way to earn a living in my eyes.

In the past I’ve been less than complimentary about ITV’s coverage of F1, and while quite a few arguments still hold, there are a few areas which have seen improvement this year.
On the plus side, and in a totally unexpected move, they have moved into the online area by allowing viewers access to not only online coverage of qualifying and the race, but also practice sessions as well - which is a very welcome move and for that I think they deserve a pat on the back.

First of all, congratulations to Lewis Hamilton for getting his season off to the perfect start - he not only drove well to win, but was lucky enough that those thought to be his main competitors for the title all stumbled and failed to finish, although Raikkonen did eventually manage to claim a point.
However, Lewis has said a couple of things since his win which strike me as odd. Firstly he claims this was his best ever victory - which is weird given that he was very rarely under any pressure at all from those behind him, and neither did he actually have to pass anyone. It’s perhaps his most comfortable win, but I doubt it will live forever in the minds of his fans as being his greatest victory.

For the sake of completeness and rather than simply updating my earlier post, I thought I would post the actual list as featured in this week’s Autosport magazine together with a very brief quote from the magazine about each driver.
When you think of who has been left out, remember those included were, and I quote, “over time, these guys were consistently the best of their eras.” Agree? I think not!
