Is the production of the new Bond film, Quantum of Solace, jinxed?

In the last week, there have been reports of three accidents in the lead up to and during filming in Italy.  The first crash involved Bond’s Aston Martin DBS which ended up in Lake Garda after an engineer lost control while delivering the car to a media event.  I bet he felt a right muppet!

On hearing his story though, he is probably just glad to be alive.  After plunging into the water, he had to free himself from the car and head to the surface - a scene which wouldn’t be out of place in the Bond movie itself.

My favourite ever sitcom would have to be Only Fools and Horses - it ran for years and years but I can honestly say that whenever I catch an episode on UKTV Gold, I can watch it over and over no matter how often I’ve seen it before.

That’s a rare thing indeed and I’m struggling to think of another TV series which is like that.  I enjoy other comedies like The Vicar of Dibley, but even with it there are times when I turn over as I can remember what happens.  Blackadder is probably the only other show I can think of that I could gladly watch over and over without getting tired of it.

Three races into the season and already some people will be feeling the pressure, which will be spurring them on to try for a good result this weekend in Spain.

And how nice it is to be back to having a race to talk about instead of other offtrack shenanigans!

So who needs to have a good race at Barcelona?

44 fights, 44 wins.

You can’t ask any more than that - except 45 fights and 45 wins I suppose!

Joe Calzaghe is the best British boxer of recent years, yet if you asked someone to name a current boxer, I bet his name wouldn’t be on many lips.  The most popular would surely be Amir Khan as he is the one in the public eye most often.

Why doesn’t Calzaghe get this recognition, especially when you consider Khan has plenty of promise but hasn’t actually achieved much yet?

Good to see he appears to have got over it okay…
