Canon 400D - taking the plunge

I bought a new camera just before Christmas - I’ve been wanting one for ages and as it was the cheapest of the long list of gadgets I’ve been lusting after I thought I’d take the plunge.

I was really wanting a Canon 40D which is a digital SLR type camera, but eventually settled on the cheaper Canon 400D which is pretty much the same only different - as in it lacks some of the features of the more expensive 40D but will probably do me just fine.

Targets for 2008

1.  I’d like to get back to reading more, and hopefully will get a bit more time to do so as the year progresses.  The target for the year is to read at least 20 books.

2.  Our visit to Paris showed up just how little French I have remembered - not surprising really as I’ve had little chance to use it since leaving school.  Target is to brush up on this and learn a little German too.
